Victor E. Van GU (Gonzaga University) is the ultimate fan. He admires everything great about sports and knows that hard work, fair play, plus treating teammates and opponents with respect are what scores highest in the hearts of true fans.
Victor gears up for the game by decorating himself with his team's colorful emblems and pennants. Each time his team scores, Victor honks his horn and performs a few jubilant spins. If his team wins, he celebrates with a proud Victor E. lap around the parking lot.
So come along and cheer on your team with Victor. E. Van, a rolling reminder of good sportsmanship and a winning attitude.
Gonzaga University Bulldogs:
- The Gonzaga University Bulldogs basketball team dates back to 1908. They play in the West Coast Conference.
- Prominent past Gonzaga Bulldogs include J. P. Batista, Dan Dickau, Richie Frahm, Adam Morrison, Paul Rogers, Blake Stepp, John Stockton and Ronny Turiaf.
- The team has had the West Coast Conference Player of the Year from 2001-2008. Despite not being in a major conference, the Bulldogs have reached most of the recent NCAA Division I basketball tournaments. In the 2006-2007 season, they were ranked third in the nation in one poll.
- The team plays at the McCarthey Athletic Center in Spokane, Washington which holds 6,000 fans.
- The team's colors are blue, white and red. Its mascot is Spike the Bulldog (see our stickers page).
