Gold Dusty Biography
The gold-colored Autopia Dusty car was produced in the year 2000 as a special Limited Edition car to commemorate the re-opening of the Chevron-sponsored Autopia ride at Disneyland in Anaheim, CA. There were only 1,000 of these cars made, and they were never offered for sale.
The gold Dusty cars were given as gifts to select Chevron employees and personnel that attended the opening, and also to select Disney employees at the grand opening event. They were not in the traditional Chevron Cars packaging with the see-through blister, rather they were placed in a special commemorative blue velvet bag.
