Park-a-Palooza: Test Your Memory

Starting the Game

Park-a-Palooza is a mastermind-style memory game. When you start this flash game, you'll see 5 car parking spaces in front of you. Using the arrows on either side of the car-selectors at the bottom of the screen, select a color for each car, then click the “Check It” button after you've made your 5 selections. Keep in mind that the final answer may contain more than one of the same color car.

Check the Results Meter

Look at the Results Meter on the right side of the cars game screen to see how well you've done, and to remind you of your selections during previous tries. You should use this information to refine your next car choices.

A white peg on the meter means you have a correct car color, but it’s not in the correct parking space. A black peg means you have picked a correct car and it’s also in the correct parking space. But remember, the position of the black peg does not necessarily correspond to the parking space position. The meter may look something like this after your second try:

In the example above, the meter shows that on the first try the player selected Green, Pink, Blue, Yellow, and Yellow. Since there are no white or black pegs showing, that means that not one of those colors is part of the correct answer (pretty bad luck!) From that information, you can figure out that all the cars should be some combination of the only two colors left: Orange and Purple.

On the second try, the player selected 3 Oranges and 2 Purples. Since there are 5 pegs, you know that there are 3 Orange cars and 2 Purple cars in the final answer. The black peg means that one of those is in the correct spot, but it doesn't necessarily mean that it's the first one that's correct. The black peg could mean that one of the others is correct -- for example, the Purple car in parking space 3, or the Orange car in parking space 5.

Winning the Game

Your objective is to find the correct parking place combination in as few tries as possible.
